Understanding 'A Complex Sentence' is essential for mastering English. As we know, a complex sentence has one principal clause and one or more subordinate clauses. If we make mistakes here, our sentences or writing will lose their true meaning. A Complex Sentence contains one main (independent) clause and at least one dependent (subordinate) clause. They are joined by markers like 'because', 'although', 'if', 'who'. Example: 'If you work hard, you will succeed'.
